Sentinel is Galvan's monitoring and research service. It is in beta.
A lot of what matters on Curaçao is said in Papiamentu: in the newspapers, on the radio, in parliament. Sentinel collects those sources on a schedule and does its own analysis of the Papiamentu, as well as the Dutch and English.
You ask about a topic, a sector or an organisation. Sentinel finds the articles and broadcasts and sums each one up in a few facts. Then it writes you a one-page brief: who said what, and what to watch. Every claim links to the documents behind it.

Atlas: the words that appear together with yours across Sentinel's sources. People's names are not shown.
A question with its own documents, facts cards and brief. Follow it and it runs again every day, with what is new since you last looked.
Ask in plain language across the collected sources, and get an answer that cites them.
Which words appear alongside yours across the whole archive, counted in code with no AI involved.
Organisation pages that match names from the public commercial register.
Sentinel collects, condenses and counts. The AI is used for the parts that need language, and the numbers never pass through it.
Step 01 of 05
News, radio, government and parliament, every four hours.
Social media will come in through official access only. That part is still being connected.
So The archive keeps growing without anyone feeding it.
Step 02 of 05
Each document becomes a short card of facts with a sentiment label.
So You scan the facts first, and open the original when you need its context and its views.
Step 03 of 05
Matched to what you follow. A person is never a search.
So You follow a market, not the people in it.
Step 04 of 05
Which words travel together, counted in code.
So You find the related subjects you would not have thought to search for.
Step 05 of 05
Numbers from the data, sentences from the AI, every claim cited.
So Every line can be checked, and the brief does not go stale.
Figures from the data. Sentences from the AI.
Counts, shares and sentiment totals are calculated from the documents. The AI is handed those numbers and writes around them, with a citation on every claim it makes.Sentinel is in beta. These are the uses it is designed for.
Follow coverage of your sector and the organisations around it, with sentiment per document and a brief you can pass on.
See how a policy or a new law is discussed across news, radio and parliament, in Papiamentu as much as in Dutch.
Before you move, read the brief: which organisations matter, what is said about them and what to watch.
Checks for your organisation's data on stolen-data markets, once the security side is added.
Being addedSix lines Sentinel keeps, on purpose.
Sentinel follows topics and organisations. A public name may appear on an organisation page, but nobody can search for a person, and a company is never linked to the person behind it.
The source text never reaches your screen or a download. You get facts, a link to the original, and the reminder that the context and the views are in the source.
Every figure is counted from the data. The AI writes sentences around numbers it was given.
Social media comes in only through official access. That part is still being connected.
Checks for your organisation's data on stolen-data markets will come from a specialist provider. The provider has not been chosen.
Sentinel runs every day. Access is by invitation while it is in beta.
